The Egyptian Company for Supplies and Marine Works
The Egyptian Company for Marine Supplies and Works was established as an Egyptian joint stock company in 1962. In 1991, it was transformed into a public sector company affiliated to the Holding Company for Maritime Transport. The union of the company's shareholders was established in 1994. 50.3% of the shares of the Egyptian Company for Supplies and Marine Works were sold to the union. As a result, the holding company's ownership in the Egyptian Company for Supplies and Marine Works decreased to less than 51%, which necessitated changing the company's system and subjecting it to the provisions of the Shareholding Companies Law.
